Developing the color and structure of the lily from my painting Pink Lily 2021.
Aaaannnddd this one is finished! Absolutely love these colors. Swirling junks of pinks, greens, and blues drifting off the surface of the painting. 24”x36” gallery canvas.
Heading south anytime soon? Gordonsville on 15 has a lot to recommend it. Always we stop at BBX but this visit we hit up Well Hung Vineyard for lunch at their restaurant/tasting room. Don’t miss this little jewel on Main Street!
Lunch today with family. This place rocks and the food is stellar. They are giving my BBQX a run for the money!
Water lily closeup. Colors and detail just don’t show up well on IG but this is where we are headed with this painting.
Progress on the lily. Some beautiful pinks, lavenders, and gold colors starting to happen. The stamens will be the crown of glory on this flower, squiggly little lines of gold lifting off the canvas.
